| New Item Numbers |
Our inventory item numbers have changed. You may still look up parts using the
numbers in our catalog, however, you can find parts more quickly using our new
item numbers. In general, convert catalog part numbers to new item numbers using
the following method:
Component Parts
Component Parts in LotsSome parts we sell in lot sizes. For the best price, be sure to order the lot size part.
Metric Parts
StudsStuds follow the same rule except have the suffix "STUD" at the end. We have been using this convention for some time, however, some of our catalogs do not reflect this.
BushingsBushings now use standard ANSI codes. Use only the ANSI codes for accurate results.
Cast SectionsFull length cast sections can be checked on the web. Please refer to the web catalog for the maximum length for the particular shape you desire. Then enter the item as 1CF25.00, for example. Shorter lengths can be cut from the full length section, and the cost for a shorter piece will include a cutting charge in addition to the per inch cost of the section. Most times the cutting activity will not affect the delivery. These cut sections may now be checked on this website! They must be entered using the configuration function. Please refer to the "Configured Item Instructions" for the proper number formats. SwiftsureSwiftsure parts lose the "CL" prefix but retain the "R". The new item number must be used (without the CL prefix and dashes) for all Swiftsure parts.
Invalid Item NumberIf you have received this response, please carefully check your part entry against the examples given on this page. Also, please be aware the item number you are entering may be a special or a modified standard item, even though it is listed as a possible item in the catalog. Cable assemblies, special bushings and locating pins, step gages, and non-standard length ball lock and detent pins also will fail on this availability check, even though they are perfectly legitimate items. Certain of these modified standard items are now able to be priced using our item configurator. Please refer to "Configured Item Instructions" for the proper number formats. At this time, not every possible item in this category is available, only those listed under the instructions. We are planning to expand this functionality in the near future. If the item desired is not one of the available configured items, you may contact our customer service or estimating departments, or one of the authorized distributors listed on the Distributor Locator portion of the site. We regularly supply special products and will be pleased to quote your requirements. Modified Standard PartsModified Parts, such as locating pins with a special “A” dimension, step gages, and four-ball ball locks may be priced using the item configurator. Please refer to the "Configured Item Instructions" for proper number formats. Other modified items such as special bushings, modified handwheels, etc are not available for Price and Availability checking on these pages at this time. You will need to contact Customer Service for that information.Alternate MaterialsStandard items constructed from different materials must be quoted. Please contact our Estimating Department for that information. Exceptions to this are stainless ball locks and detent pins, which may be priced using the item configurator. Please refer to the "Configured Item Instructions" for the proper number formats.Special (Non-Catalog Standard) Length PartsCertain items, such as Ball Locks and Detent Pins, may be ordered in non-catalog standard lengths. For items to return price and availability information on these pages, you will need to utilize the configurator. Please refer to the "Configured Item Instructions". Please consider the possibility of using the next longer standard length increment. For example, if your requirement is for a ball lock pin 1-3/8” long, consider using a standard pin 1-1/2” long. It will be no more expensive, and, most likely, will be in stock in moderate quantities. Also, if you use the configured item capability, if your desired item is not in stock, we may have defined substitute items for that item. If you would like to check on those substitute items, click the "Check Substitutes" button. If we have defined substitutes, and one or more of them are in stock, those items will be displayed, along with their price. If we have defined substitutes, but they are not in stock, we will display that message without listing substitute item numbers.Ball Lock & Detent Pins (transfers from the Online Catalog)When coming to the Price & Availability page from the Online Catalog, you will need to modify the part number to ensure you have the handle style and grip length you require. Please note, we only stock these pins in lengths specified on the catalog page for ball locks, and in even .25" increments for detents, from .25" to 6.00". Pricing and Availability information for non-stocked ball lock pins is now available on these pages. Please refer to the "Configured Item Instructions" highlight on the Price & Availability page to learn how this works.Delivery time for Backorder Ball Locks & Detent Pins: 1 to 50 pieces is 2 weeks or less 51 pieces and greater is 3 weeks or less |
